Charging from solar
The Tesla Powerwall 2 seamlessly integrates with Tesla Solar or third-party solar systems, storing excess energy during the day for use at night or during grid outages. As an AC-coupled battery, it can charge from any solar inverter, making it a flexible and efficient home energy storage solution. When paired with a Tesla Solar Inverter, users can monitor energy production, storage, and usage through the Tesla app for full system optimization.
Without solar system
Even without solar, the Powerwall 2 can charge from the grid during off-peak hours when electricity rates are lower and discharge during peak hours, helping to reduce energy costs. It also provides automatic backup power during outages, ensuring essential appliances stay powered. With smart scheduling and energy management, users can optimize their energy usage for greater savings and efficiency.
Power everything
Tesla leads the way in home energy storage with its Powerwall series, designed for solar integration, cost savings, and backup power. The Powerwall 2 enhances efficiency, smart energy management, and seamless performance.
