Suitable applications for a Tesla Powerwall 2

The Powerwall 2 is an AC coupled solution. This means that the battery has an inbuilt battery charger (inverter) which can either take and store energy from the grid at set times or, recover and store excess energy from your solar system which would otherwise be exported to the grid.

Suitable applications

Charging from solar. Tesla Powerwall 2's come with something called a gateway, the gateway is able to be connected to an existing solar system, this allows you to monitor your solar system and to manage the recovery of excess energy to be stored in the Powerwall. This process can also be automated. You'll also be able to combine both charge from the grid and to recover excess solar during the winter periods, maximising the available savings.

We offer a 2 year workmanship warranty on all battery installations which is backed by HIES. This includes deposit protection, work-in-progress insurance, and a comprehensive warranty for the installed products. These measures provide peace of mind for consumers, knowing they are protected against financial loss and poor workmanship
Home batteries fall under permitted development rights, and planning consent is not required to install one. If your property is located in a conservation area, listed, or a building of historical interest then you’ll need to seek approval from the relevant authorities before placing an order
The minimum warranty for all the batteries we install is 10 years. Some offer extended warranty cover. Details of individual product warranties can be found in the product details.
All of our batteries are fully IP rated for internal, or external installation. Your installation engineer will discuss your preferred location with you ahead of the works. If you have any specific requests, please contact the office ahead of ordering. New guidelines have recommended that batteries are not installed in main loft spaces.
A typical battery installation takes one working day. More complex installations, however, may take slightly longer
