Patrick Garner is a Gas Safe registered engineer (Reg. No. 5949938) with 11 years of hands-on experience in domestic heating installations. He leads Heatable's installations team and has personally overseen more than 2,100 boiler installations and heating system upgrades across the UK.

His day-to-day work spans gas combi boiler swaps, back boiler conversions, system-to-combi conversions, hybrid heat pump retrofits, and full heating system redesigns - including the kind of awkward, non-standard jobs that most installers would rather not quote for. He holds ACS qualifications and works in full compliance with current Gas Safe and Building Regulations requirements.

Alongside his installation work, Patrick writes about boiler costs, heating system choices, and emerging home heating technologies - drawing directly on what he sees in UK homes every day rather than textbook theory.
