Ideal boilers struggle more with age than Joe Biden on a podium. Before you think about replacing though, have a read and see if you can’t charm the old feller back into something resembling life.
First, check your warranty.
Ideal boilers come with excellent warranties, 2 years as a bare minimum but 5 years and upward most commonly.
Dig out your paperwork or scan through your emails to find out how long the warranty you received with the boiler was valid.
There's a good chance you'll be covered, in which case you should contact Ideal directly and they'll send out an engineer to solve the issue asap.
Remember that you will likely have had to keep up your annual boiler service appointments to uphold the warranty - your boiler warranty paperwork will detail this.
All of the below-mentioned fault codes are issues with the boiler unit itself, so if you are covered under warranty, it was installed by a Gas Safe heating engineer and you've kept up with your annual service appointments, then don't worry about the cost - Ideal will have you covered.

Reset your Ideal boiler
Turning it off and on again really can work.
Sometimes your boiler will display fault codes in error and in turn, tell its onboard computer not to allow the boiler to function for safety.
If this is the case then it can very often be solved with a simple reset.
