Worcester Bosch Guarantee Terms and Conditions
As touched on already, there is a range of terms and conditions which apply to a Worcester Bosch guarantee.
We won’t cover everything as the list of Ts and Cs is quite extensive, but here are some of the key takeaways:
The product has to be installed correctly and commissioned by a competent and certified installer, whether it be a professional such as a Gas Safe Register engineer, MCS certified installer or an OFTEC technician. They must do so in accordance with industry standards, and any relevant legal requirements and per the manufacturer’s instructions.
The product installed may only be used in a domestic environment.
As mentioned, any issues that arise due to defects relating to the material or manufacture of the product are covered. If this is the case, Worcester Bosch will, at their sole discretion, cover the repair or replacement work needed without charging you any labour or supply costs. This assumes that the guarantee is ongoing and that the various Ts and Cs have been followed to ensure it remains valid during the length of the guarantee.
You must ensure that the product is serviced annually by a competent and officially certified engineer. What’s more, the service details need to be recorded in the service record such that they are available for inspection should Worcester Bosch make that request.
Considering that a Worcester Bosch guarantee (like many boiler manufacturer guarantees and warranties in general) only applies if there is the product’s material or manufacturer involved in a defect.
