You can read, or you can click. 5000 words or 30 seconds to a fixed quote? It's your time.
Are you looking for a price for a new boiler installation? Who isn't?
Our gas boiler installation calculator does it all for you, simply enter your postcode and answer a few questions and you will get a fixed price quote on the screen in seconds.
The calculator asks a series of questions to determine a price based on your unique circumstances and presents a range of boilers for every budget.
Once you have selected your boiler, you can then choose your installation date and get your boiler fitted by a Gas Safe Engineer as quickly as 24 hours.
How does the boiler installation cost calculator work?
Our boiler quote calculator asks all the questions necessary to provide an accurate installation cost for your specific needs.
The questions are based on the following factors:
#1 - Type of Property
If you live in a small apartment, then the boiler you require will be smaller in both power and dimensions than the one you would need for a large 4-bedroom property.
For example, a combi boiler is the most popular type of boiler in the UK, but if your property has a high hot water demand e.g. multiple bathrooms and radiators, a system boiler is typically recommended.
Looking to pay for your new boiler monthly? Refer to our boilers on finance guide for more info.
#2 - Number of Bedrooms
The number of bedrooms in your property is also factored into providing an accurate quote since this determines how much space needs to be heated.
Therefore, the more rooms the greater the heat output required from the boiler.
#3 - Number of Bathrooms
If you have multiple bathrooms or water outlets that are frequently used at the same time, then it’s likely that you will need a boiler with a hot water storage cylinder; this will be able to meet your hot water requirements.
Combi boilers won't work in homes with a very high hot water demand, which is a shame.
#4 - Your Type of Boiler Installation
A straightforward swap i.e. replacing an old combi boiler with a new one is going to be cheaper than converting from one type of boiler to another e.g. going from a combi to a system boiler.
Our calculator is able to quote for the following types of boiler installations:
Combi Boiler Replacements
Back Boiler Conversions (To Combi)
Regular Boiler Replacements
System Boiler Replacements
Conversions From Regular/System to Combi

#5 - Number of Radiators
The number of radiators in your home is also an important factor to consider, since the more you have, the greater the heat output required from the boiler.
#6 - Boiler Moves (Relocations)
It’s almost always less expensive to have your new boiler installed in the same location as your previous boiler.
Moving a boiler to a different part of your home costs more for a variety of reasons - it requires more labour, more time and usually more parts e.g. copper pipework.
The cost will also be determined by where you want your boiler moving to, for example, it’s cheaper to move your boiler within the same room vs. from the kitchen to the attic.
Typically, you can expect to pay between £250 and £500 for the average central heating boiler move.
Although, you should be prepared to pay more if the engineer will be required to do substantial pipework and/or flue work.
You can learn more about the costs of moving your boiler in our dedicated guide.

Other Factors that Determine the Boiler Costs
Once you have your calculated results, there are some other decisions for you to make that may influence the cost of your gas boiler installation.
Boiler Brand & Model
There are many different boiler brands offered in the UK, some of which are considered market leaders, such as Worcester Bosch and Viessmann, as well as newcomers such as Alpha Innovations.
The one you choose can have an impact on the final price, which is why it’s important to consider your choices carefully.
Worcester Bosch Boilers
By far, one of the most popular manufacturers is Worcester Bosch, which is why they ranked number one in our review of the best boiler brands.
Why do we think Worcester offers the best combi boilers?
Which? Best Buy Award for 10 years running
10-year guarantee (when purchased via Heatable)
Availability of parts is second to none
Excellent customer reviews and aftercare
We are also pleased to offer a range of other boiler brands too, offering options to individuals with a range of different budgets.
Check out our Worcester Bosch boilers guide for a more in-depth review of the brand.
Alpha Innovations Boilers
Alpha Boilers is a budget-option brand that has been increasing its market share in the UK-wide boiler market over the last few years.
They are a fantastic option for the buyer who is looking for a reliable and affordable heating solution with a moderate warranty length.
Although considered a budget boiler brand, on a technical level, Alpha’s products are excellent, for example, they utilise a stainless-steel heat exchanger which is usually something you would only expect in a premium brand like Viessmann.

Extras – Filters, Thermostats & More
You also have the option of adding extras to your boiler installation package. We’ve gone to the trouble of checking exactly which popular extras are compatible with the boilers so you don’t have to.
Smart Thermostats
A smart thermostat allows you to control and monitor your energy use, they are incredibly user-friendly, easy to install and genuinely useful in helping you to keep on top of your energy consumption and hopefully save you some money in the process.
Popular models include Hive, Nest, Tado and Honeywell and at Heatable we offer the market-leading Google Nest smart thermostat. The thermostat includes the following features:
Control your heating remotely, from anywhere
Geo-fencing – turns on and off based on your presence on the property
Nest protection – carbon monoxide detection
Check out our guide to the best smart thermostats in the UK.
Flushing Options
It’s a good idea to give your complete heating system a deep clean before installing your new boiler.
Over time dirt and rust can build up and sludge can develop, which is a leading cause of blocked water flow and corrosion.
Therefore, it makes sense to improve the quality of your heating water when you install a new boiler, to help prevent damage and improve efficiency.
Heatable offers a range of flushing options including:
Chemical Flush
Magancleanse
Powerflush
Read all about them in our flushing options guide.
