Better things to do? Stop messing around and get a Vaillant quote here.
Vaillant is the second-largest boiler manufacturer on the continent and a European titan in the heating industry, renowned for their German engineering and excellent reputation among both customers and gas engineers.
If you can’t get German engineering in your garage, Vaillant at least gives you another way to profit from great mechanics.
One of their most popular range of gas boilers in the UK is the Vaillant ecoTEC, which has built a reputation among installers as one of the easiest boilers to repair.
That’s not just good for engineers, but also for people who pay the engineers by the hour.
Aside from gas boilers, the brand also offers a comprehensive range of heating and cooling products, including combi, system and regular boilers, as well as heat pumps.
By securing a new gas boiler from the Vaillant brand, you can be secure knowing that your boiler has been designed and manufactured by esteemed German engineers - not to be confused with German steam engineers.
All modern Vaillant boilers also use condensing technology and are A-rated, this means that they are at least 90% efficient, helping you to save even more on your heating bills.

History of Vaillant Boilers
Vaillant was founded in 1874 by Johann Vaillant in Remscheid, Germany and still remains a family business. Please note that Johann himself is no longer active in the business.
The business was birthed when Johann patented the first gas-fired bathroom boiler and began manufacturing them for the mass market.
Today the company concentrates heavily on innovating in the green space and in 1995 was the first boiler manufacturer to release the first boiler to use condensing technology, a huge feat that revolutionised the efficiency of modern gas boilers.
In 2008, Vaillant demonstrated their commitment to the green heating revolution by launching its very first heat pump range.
Although your Vaillant product is green by nature, it usually comes in white, so you don’t have to adjust your house’s colour scheme.
Vaillant Gas Boilers
Vaillant gas combi boilers are one of the most efficient and convenient types of boilers you can use.
Combination (or combi boilers) are by far the most common type of boiler in the UK, installed and used in as many as 70% of homes.
Modern A-rated combi boilers offer over 90% efficiency and provide both on-demand hot water, and heating in one compact unit. We reckon that version from 1874 was a lot less compact.
This means that, unlike other types of boilers e.g. system and regular, you do not need to use or have a separate hot water storage tank installed, helping to save space and make installation easier. Like an attractive grocery store promotion, this gets you a two-for-one deal.
It also means you don’t have to worry about the hot water running out within the storage tank, which is of course a limited amount of water and not provided on-demand, like a modern combi boiler.

Price of a New Vaillant Boiler
If you want a Vaillant boiler installed, you are looking to pay between £800 to £2600 and they are available in a range of sizes, although it is worth remembering that this does not include Gas Safe installation or any additional materials or labour that may be required.
Unless you’re a gas-safe engineer or a direct descendant of Johann Vaillant, don’t try to install a boiler yourself.
Got a quote for a new combi boiler that is less than £1000, fitted? You should start to worry and probably call the authorities. Very few Vaillant boilers actually fall off lorries.
Heatable offers a fixed price on (Gas Safe) new combi boiler installations online. Get your fixed price from us now and we can fit it as quick as 24 hours.

Some of the most popular Vaillant combi boilers include the following:
Vaillant ecoFIT Pure Combi
Vaillant ecoTEC Pro Combi
Vaillant ecoFIT Plus Combi
Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive with Green iQ Combi
Vaillant Gas Regular Boilers: Price Range
Just like a combi boiler and building an open fire in your kitchen a heat-only or regular boiler can provide both heating and hot water. The three boiler types are the only safe option.
However, unlike a combi boiler, it requires a separate hot water storage tank, since it doesn’t take the hot water from the mains or heat it up on on-demand.
Essentially, a combi boiler is the water-heating version of streaming your video instead of buying a VHS.
Regular boilers are typically more suitable for larger properties with multiple water outlets e.g. multiple bathrooms since they can keep up with the high hot water demand. Rumour has it Buckingham Palace has multiple bathrooms and therefore a regular boiler.
The cost of a new regular boiler can range from £800 to around £2500.
As mentioned above, this is the price for the boiler only and does not include the Gas Safe installation. To get a fixed price on a brand-new regular boiler which includes installation and everything you need, click here.
Note: you can buy your boiler on finance and spread the costs, read our full guide for more info.
Vaillant Regular Boiler Range
Vaillant’s comprehensive range of regular boilers includes the following models:
Some of the most popular regular boilers include the following:
Vaillant ecoFIT Pure Regular
Vaillant ecoTEC Plus Regular
Vaillant Gas System Boilers: Price Range
System boilers are a modern advancement on regular boilers and are also more appropriate for large homes/and those with a high demand for hot water, like families with twelve children in dire need of a bath. For example, homes with multiple bathrooms and water outlets may be in use simultaneously.
They are distinct from regular boilers since having more internal components e.g. their own water pump, meaning no water tank is required to be stored in the loft or an even more inconvenient spot in the house.
Similar to combi boilers, they heat water from the mains water supply but instead of diverting it directly to water outlets e.g. taps, baths or showers, it is stored in a hot water tank (the water being hot, the tank is usually a normal temperature).
The cost of a standalone Vaillant system boiler ranges from £700 to £2,000 and they are available in a range of different sizes. However, remember that he is for the boiler alone. Not the flue, controls, installation or anything else that’s essential or you may like to have.

Vaillant Boiler Warranty
A boiler warranty is a crucial consideration when shopping for any new boiler, as you want to be confident that in the event the boiler breaks down, it will be repaired and up and running as soon as possible, or at least as soon as you’d like your showers to be warm again.
Unlike brands such as Worcester Bosch, the warranty length with Vaillant depends on the boiler model you choose, but it ranges from 5 years to 10 years - something you could only wish for with most of your fancier gadgets.
For example, the Vaillant EcoTEC Pro comes with a standard 2-year warranty, while the Vaillant EcoTEC Plus comes with a 5-year warranty.
This isn’t the best, especially when you start to compare it to other boiler manufacturers' warranty offerings. For example, a boiler guarantee offered with Worcester Bosch boilers is 10 years (when purchased via Heatable).
Is your Vaillant boiler experiencing some of the brand's most common fault codes? We have many covered many Vaillant boiler error codes in the following guides:
Vaillant Customer Reviews
What do customers think of Vaillant? Nothing quite compares to the honesty and feedback from everyday users of the product and aftercare. Few customers speak the marketing language that brands like so much.
The good news is that Vaillant has a superb score on Trustpilot. As of February 2022, over 16,000 customers left a review.
The brand has an average rating of 4.6 stars out of 5, which is excellent for a company selling boilers in such large volumes.
Vaillant Awards & Accelodes
Vaillant boilers don't currently hold any awards for their gas combi boilers, however, in 2020, the brand was awarded the Which? Best Buy Award. That means in early 2023, Vaillant still has a more recent real prize than Manchester United.
The consumer organisation Which? conducts an annual boiler survey of 7,500 customers and 150 of its trusted heating and plumbing engineers, asking them key questions about reliability, customer service and servicing.
In the 2020 survey, Vaillant was the only boiler brand to be awarded five stars from engineers for build quality, with installers also singling out how easy the company's range of domestic boilers is to work with.

Vaillant Boilers Verdict
Vaillant is a popular boiler brand in the UK market with a good selection of boilers, including combi, regular and system boilers, as well as heat pumps. And of course a cute bunny as a mascot.
They are also available in a wide variety of different sizes/power outputs, so you will easily be able to acquire one that will meet your home’s hot water demands. With Vaillant, running all your hot water around the house at the same time is technically no problem, but still not recommended.
Vaillant came in at #2 on our list of the best boiler brands. Again, these were picked by customers and engineers, not some obscure televoting procedure.
Worcester Bosch ranked number one, while Vaillant ranked number two, so they are definitely a wise choice the best part of all is that if you purchase your new Vaillant boiler with Heatable, it will come with a generous 10-year warranty.
