Thinking about buying a Biasi boiler? See how they fair against the competition in our Biasi boiler guide.
While not the most widely known player on the market, this Italian brand has an appeal thanks to its affordability.
But how does Biasi compare with their domestic boiler rivals?
Biasi (formally known as BSG Caldaie a Gas SpA) is an Italian consumer goods company.
The UK subsidiary of Biasi currently sells eight boiler models which are part of three different selections. Like many boiler brands, Biasi offers combi, regular and system boilers.
Most Biasi boilers come with a seven-year warranty, and they are generally inexpensive.
In the following guide, we’ll explore the costs of various Biasi boilers and look at other relevant topics, such as how customers have the brand and how they compare with the competition.

History of Biasi
Biasi boilers date back to 1938 when Leopoldo Biasi founded a small thermomechanical company. Biasi would go on to open a manufacturing facility for household boilers in the 1940s.
Over the decades, the company grew before it began selling gas boilers in 1986. It wasn’t until 1990 that Biasi UK Ltd was established with the purpose of bringing the brand’s gas boilers to the British Isles.
Biasi UK Ltd would also sell towel rails, LST radiators and central heating radiators. Biasi UK Ltd now operates a 64,000 square foot facility in Walsall.
Biasi Combi Boilers
We’ll now look at the boilers offered by the brand, starting with their combi boilers.
In total, Biasi sells three combi boilers, which are all part of the Advance Plus selection.
There was previously an Advance selection, but these boilers were discontinued.
What is a Combi Boiler?
Combi/combinations are commonplace in the UK with as many as seven out of ten homes in the UK using a combi boiler.
Combi boilers exist as a single compact unit. This unit consists of a central heating boiler and a high-efficiency water heater.
They supply hot water to fixtures like taps and radiators directly and without the need for a separate storage tank. A-rated combi boilers on the market today offer energy efficiency levels that exceed 90%.
Biasi Combi Boilers: Price Range
You may be interested in knowing the standalone cost of a Biasi combi boiler (so excluding the price of labour and any additional expenses).
The standalone price range of Biasi combi boilers is £675 to £725. This makes the brand’s combi boiler range more expensive than their system or regular boilers.
However, the Advance Plus 7 35kW Combi Gas Boiler is among boilers with the highest outputs offered by Biasi.
The brand’s combi boilers have user-friendly controls and programmes as well as built-in frost protection. They also come with 92% energy efficiency, as do all Biasi boilers currently on offer.
The overall price of having a Biasi combi boiler installed would be perhaps £800 to £1,300 higher than the supply cost on its own.
For this reason, if you get an offer to have one installed for less than £1,000 overall (with all costs accounted for), it’s likely not a legitimate offer.

Biasi Regular Boilers
As for Biasi’s regular boilers (a.k.a. Heat-only or traditional boilers), there are three models available.
These boilers make up the brand’s Advance OV Regular Gas Boilers selection.
What is a Regular Boiler?
These boilers produce hot water for central heating use only. So, they can’t make hot water for other uses such as showering, bathing or tap water.
Please be aware that since heat-only boilers use specific pipework, you should only have one installed to replace an existing heat-only boiler.
To discuss a little more about how regular boilers work, a cold-water tank (located in the attic) is used to supply cold water to the boiler.
A hot water storage cylinder is another crucial element of this heating system, making it possible to provide hot water for daily use.

Biasi Regular Boilers: Price Range
In terms of the pricing of Biasi’s regular boilers, they range from £600 to £625. This makes these boilers, on average, the least expensive boiler type that Biasi offers.
Biasi regular boilers are a good option for high usage properties. They also come with a sleek design.
One notable downside, however, is that these boilers only come with five-year warranties, whereas the brand’s system and combi boilers feature seven-year warranties.
You can get an installation cost for a new regular boiler today using our online calculator.
Biasi Regular Boiler Range
Models | kW | Warranty | Product Price | Overall Price (including installation cost) |
Advance OV 15kW Regular Gas Boiler | 16.5 | 5 years | £625 | £1,425 to £1,925 |
Advance OV 18kW Regular Gas Boiler | 20.3 | 5 years | £600 | £1,400 to £1,900 |
Advance OV 24kW Regular Gas Boiler | 24.4 | 5 years | £625 | £1,425 to £1,925. |
Biasi System Boilers
Finally, we have the brand’s system boilers. There are currently just two models available, which are part of the Biasi Advance Plus 7 System Gas Boiler selection.
What is a System Boiler?
Properties with a large demand for hot water and heating may need a system boiler.
System boilers feature a separate water storage tank. As a result, these boilers can supply hot water to a property on a continuous basis.
Biasi System Boilers: Price Range
The supply cost of Biasi system boilers varies between £650 and £675. Again, this excludes the cost of labour and additional expenses.
The Advance Plus 7 30kW System Gas Boilers have a noticeably high output of 29.5kW.
Biasi System Boiler Range
Models | kW | Warranty | Product Price | Overall Price (including installation cost) |
Advance Plus 7 25kW System Gas Boiler | 24.4 | 7 years | £650 | £1,450 to £1,950 |
Advance Plus 7 30kW System Gas Boiler | 29.5 | 7 years | £675 | £1,475 to £1,975 |
Biasi Customer Reviews

Biasi Error Codes
While we all hope that our boilers will be long-lasting, issues will inevitably arise at some point.
Thankfully though, modern boilers tend to feature a wide range of error codes to help users identify the problems at hand.
Please note that these error codes should be accompanied by an error image such as a spanner.
Some error codes (not from the examples below) could appear for multiple reasons such as N/A but what distinguishes these would be the associated fault image.
Some boiler errors can be fixed DIY, but many should (and some even must) be fixed by a qualified professional.
If in doubt, contact Biasi or a local heating engineer. In general, faulty components (if present) should be replaced swiftly to prevent further damage.
Here are some common examples:
Error Code | Issue at Hand |
ER 01 + Reset | No burner ignition on safety lockout |
ER 02 + Reset | Safety thermostat intervention lockout |
ER 05 + | The fan control system is faulty |
ER + 14 + Reset | Primary temperature over 105°C or the pump is faulty |
ER + 25 + Reset | Flame detection fault |
ER + 69 | Wiring fault lockout |
30c | The boiler is waiting for a heating request |
Biasi Boilers Verdict
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly boiler brand, then Biasi is worth considering.
It is, however, not the most well-known brand on the market and other affordable brands like Baxi and Glow-worm have noticeably higher ratings on Trustpilot as well as wider recognition.
In fact, we’ve ranked Baxi and Glow-worm sixth and seventh, respectively, on our list of the top 10 boiler brands for the UK market.
If you have a more flexible budget, you should consider one of the top options from our list such as Viessmann, Alpha Boilers, or Ideal Boilers which are our three favourite boiler brands that sell in the UK.
We have also reviewed and compared many other popular UK boiler brands, including the following:
