Vokera boiler warranty period
A boiler warranty (and in some cases a guarantee) is an essential component of any new boiler installation package. A manufacturer's warranty provides you with the peace of mind that if a mechanical fault does occur with a component, then it will be taken care of free of charge.
The majority of brands offer a warranty length of about 5 years, which is considered fair, however, market leaders Worcester Bosch and Viessmann offer an incredible 10 year guarantee.
To say the average lifespan of a boiler is around 10 to 15 years, ideally you want the warranty to cover the boiler for the majority of that time. That is why a short warranty is often seen as a reliable way to determine the quality of a boiler.
Like all boiler manufacturers, Vokera offers a standard warranty for all their boiler models, which is 12 months long. However, individual boilers have their own warranty periods, which ranges from between 2 years and 7 years.
Compared to other manufacturers, this length may be considered on the low side by some.
Thankfully, Vokera does offer you the ability to extend the warranty by repairing the boiler if it breaks down and allowing you to extend it for a further 12 months.
Important note: remember, like any boiler warranty, it needs to be registered within 30 days of installation in order to be validated and it must be serviced annually by a registered Gas Safe Engineer.
Unlike other boiler brands, Vikera boilers have a light system that indicates errors, as well as codes. Check our guide on the Vokera Red Light error for more information.
Vokera boiler prices
The price point is often a huge factor people consider when getting a new boiler installed. It’s also important to remember that this is for the boiler alone and does not include the cost of the Gas Safe installation or any other extras.
The good news is that Vokera are considered a budget-friendly brand, with their lowest priced boiler model costing around £450.
The exact price will depend on the boiler model you choose, but in comparison to premium brands you can potentially save a significant amount of money.
Check out our guide to new boiler costs for more detailed examples.
However, remember that the exact price will vary and depend on a range of factors, including the boiler model, type of boiler and overall complexity of the job, as well as any other extras.
You could get your new boiler installed as quickly as tomorrow through Heatable.
Heatable also offer a fixed price promise and a price match promise so should you receive a quote from a different company for the same product and terms, we promise to match the same price.

Vokera boiler reviews
Reading user reviews is an essential part of buying anything, but even more so when you are buying a new heating system that is potentially going to serve you for at least the next decade. More still, it’s a significant investment, typically costing between £1,900 and £2,400, so it’s not a decision to be taken lightly.
So, what’s the verdict? Does Vokera have good, bad or average customer reviews?
The good news is that the boiler manufacturer does have a very good score on Trustpilot averaging 4.4 from the 1,200+ reviews amassed to date (as of November 2021). This is an exceptional score for a budget brand and rivals some of major boiler brands.
Check our new boiler costs guide and use our boiler size calculator if you want to get a better understanding of how our fixed-price boiler quote tool works.
Which? Annual boiler survey
Although unfortunately, it’s not all good news, especially when it concerns the brand's performance in the annual Which? Boiler survey.
The survey is one of the most comprehensive utilising answers and feedback from over 12,000 boiler owners and 166 heating engineers, to gain valuable insights from both daily users and industry experts.
The survey scores manufacturers based on several key areas, including important factors like availability of parts, reliability and ease of fault finding and fixing.
So how did Vokera do?
They came second to last and in our review of the worst boilers, you’ll see that they came out with an overall score of 50%, which is still better than Ferolli who came last with a score of just 35%.
Vokera Performance
Heat output
In terms of power or heat output, the Vokera brand offers boilers in a selection of sizes (measured in kW) making it an ideal brand for homeowners of almost any sized home.
The general rule is that the higher the heat output, the more powerful the boiler. The Vokera gas boiler range is available in power outputs ranging from 15 kW to 42 kW in size.
Want to know which boiler power is right for your home? Check out our boiler sizing guide.
For illustration, here is a brief overview of table showing you the average boiler power required per number of bedrooms:
What size boiler for… | 1 Bath/Shower | 2 Baths/showers
2 Bedroom House | 26kW | 29kW
3 Bedroom House | 29kW | 35kW
4 Bedroom House | 29kW | 35kW
5 Bedroom House | 35kW | 35kW |
Efficiency & carbon emissions
In terms of efficiency i.e., how much fuel is converted directly to heat, Vokera gas boilers are modern condensing and A-rated appliances.
In fact, all new A rated Vokera boilers have an efficiency rating of at least 94%, that means for every £1 spent on gas 94p is converted directly to heat and only 6p is wasted (typically via the flue gases).
This means that if you have an older boiler (older than 10 years) that is G rated for efficiency, you could potentially save money on your heating bills by making the transition to an A-rated boiler.
Even better? This also means you’ll reduce your home's carbon footprint, meaning you’ll be greener.
According to the Energy Saving Trust, this can make a significant difference:
“If you replace your old boiler with an A-rated boiler and set of heating controls (you can even operate it remotely via an app on your phone) you could save about £340 and 1,500kg of carbon dioxide a year.”
Vokera boiler controls & sensors
Are there any features that make Vokera stand out amongst their rivals? For a budget boiler brand, you may be surprised that they do indeed have some useful features, which includes the following:
711 OpenTherm RF programmable room thermostat
Most Vokera boilers come with a 711 OpenTherm thermostat that enables you to manually adjust settings at the interface or set a 7 day schedule. The 711 thermostat is also able to monitor the outside temperature and weather conditions and adjust accordingly.
BeSmart (Wifi connected thermostat)
Some of Vokeras mid-range boiler models, such as the Evolve C, feature the BeSmart thermostat. This smart thermostat allows you to control the settings from the comfort of your own device, including tablet, mobile and/or computer.
BeSmart also enables you to modulate up to 8 different heating zones and take advantage of the concept of “zonal heating”. This enables you to split your home into different zones and save even more money on your heating bills.
Worcester Bosch vs Vokera boilers
In terms of cutting-edge features and overall reputation Worcester Bosch wins hands down.
Which? Annual Boiler Survey
Not only has Worcester Bosch held a Which? Best Buy Award for over 10 years, they have routinely performed well in the Which? annual boiler survey.
The survey is based on the feedback from over 12,000 boiler customers and over 100 gas boiler installers. Providing the views of the everyday user and professional opinion.
In the survey, Worcester Bosch was awarded full marks for their build quality and availability of parts, two very important factors for any boiler user.
On the other hand, Vokera came second to last in the survey, which is quite disappointing for any boiler brand.
The Worcester Bosch 10 Year Guarantee
Additionally, unlike Vokera, Worcester Bosch does not just offer a warranty but instead a guarantee.
What does that mean exactly?
A guarantee is an agreement from the brand that they will attend your property and repair or replace the boiler within a reasonable timeframe.
Most other brands just offer a warranty as standard, this is an agreement to investigate the problem, but is not an unconditional agreement to fix or repair it for free.
Heatable offers an exclusive 10-year guarantee on all Worcester Bosch Greenstar gas boilers we install.
Design and features
Then there’s the design and features offered by boiler manufacturers, not all is equal.
The latest Worcester Bosch boilers feature a modern, sleek case with an easy-to-use digital interface. They’re also hydrogen ready, so are prepared for the next generation of hydrogen fuel.
Here are some of Worcester Bosch boilers most notable features:
Installed with the condenseSure siphon, offering boiler frost protection
